Biomedical Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Biomedical Engineer role based in Alexandria, Egypt. The Biomedical Engineer will oversee the installation, calibration, testing, and maintenance of hyperbaric and related medical equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. Daily tasks include performing routine inspections, troubleshooting technical issues, coordinating preventive maintenance schedules, and documenting all service activities in compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The role involves collaborating with clinical staff to support equipment use, training users on proper operation, and recommending technical improvements or upgrades. The Biomedical Engineer will also assist in quality assurance processes, participate in safety audits, and support incident investigations related to equipment performance.Qualifications Strong background in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to medical devices and systems.Proficiency in Medical Equipment handling and operation, especially hyperbaric systems and associated monitoring devices.Hands-on experience in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance, including troubleshooting, repair, and performance verification.Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance practices related to medical equipment.Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and regulatory documentation.Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical and technical teams on-site.Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to patient and staff safety.Previous experience with hospital or clinical engineering departments, especially in hyperbaric or critical care settings, is an advantage.
