Job description:Great opportunity to become a key member of a young, growing biomedical service company.JONA Biomedical is seeking Biomedical Equipment Technicians at the BMET I, II, and III levels to perform preventive maintenance, calibration, electrical safety testing, troubleshooting, and repair of medical equipment.This is primarily a field-service position supporting healthcare facilities throughout the Tri-State area, with occasional in-house repair work.Because of our size and projected growth, the right candidate will have a genuine opportunity to expand their technical skills, take on greater responsibility, pursue advanced training and certifications, and grow into senior technical or leadership roles.ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance, calibration, electrical safety inspections, troubleshooting, and repairsInspect equipment and replace scheduled components according to manufacturer recommendationsAccurately document all service work in our equipment-management systemCommunicate repair status, inspection findings, and customer concernsWork independently while maintaining strong quality and customer-service standardsAssist with technical evaluations and equipment recommendationsProvide guidance and on-the-job training to less-experienced technicians, when applicableMaintain technical expertise through ongoing training and educationQualificationsBiomedical equipment, electronics, biomedical engineering, or related technical education or experienceBMET I: Entry-level candidates with relevant education or technical training will be consideredBMET II: Two or more years of biomedical equipment experience preferredBMET III: Five or more years of biomedical equipment service experienceCBET certification strongly preferred for senior-level candidatesStrong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skillsAbility to use biomedical test equipment, tools, service manuals, and technical documentationGood organization, communication, time-management, and customer-service skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionValid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer locationsWillingness to participate in limited on-call coverage, when requiredCompensation and BenefitsCompetitive compensation based on experience and qualificationsAnnual performance and field-service incentive opportunitiesVehicle expense reimbursementFlexible work schedule and generous paid time offTechnical training and professional-development opportunitiesSupport for advanced certifications and manufacturer trainingSignificant opportunity for career advancement as the company growsSafety equipment, specialized test equipment, and tools providedThis is a full-time, primarily daytime position.
