Sacred Heart Hospital of Malolos Inc. is accredited by PhilHealth and multiple health maintenance organizations (HMOs).Role Description The Biomedical Equipment Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Bulacan, responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of medical equipment throughout the hospital. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing biomedical devices, as well as coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime. The role involves maintaining accurate equipment records, helping with equipment installation and acceptance testing, and collaborating with clinical staff to support safe and effective use of technology. The Biomedical Engineer also contributes to equipment lifecycle planning, assists in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, and participates in training and orientation related to medical devices and safety protocols.QualificationsStrong foundation in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles in a healthcare setting.Hands-on experience with Medical Equipment and Equipment Maintenance, including troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of diagnostic and therapeutic devices.Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance practices for biomedical systems, including scheduling, documentation, and performance checks.Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering field.Understanding of hospital safety standards, regulatory requirements, and infection control practices related to medical devices.Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation, and to communicate clearly with clinical and technical teams.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to prioritize multiple service requests in a busy hospital environment.Previous experience in a hospital or clinical engineering department is an advantage; relevant certifications in biomedical or clinical engineering are a plus.
