Our people are at the heart of everything we do, helping us deliver exceptional service and improve patient care every day.Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Biomedical Field Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair a variety of medical equipment. This role supports healthcare professionals by ensuring equipment operates safely and according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.Reports To: Service ManagerCompensation: $60,000 cad base salary + additional benefitsKey ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance, installations, repairs, calibrations, adjustments, and safety testing on medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer standardsService physiotherapy, sterilization, and patient monitoring equipmentTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing-related issuesMaintain accurate service records and client inventory within the computerized maintenance management systemInvestigate safety issues and equipment incidents and assist with corrective actionsReview technical manuals, engineering drawings, and servicing requirementsUse testing and calibration equipment to complete servicing activitiesInterprets and reads schematics, technical manuals, and biomedical diagramsProvide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication with clients and team membersComplete reports, technical documentation, shipping documents, and required paperwork on timeParticipate in training to stay current with codes, standards, and best practices QualificationsDiploma in Biomedical Technology or equivalentExperience troubleshooting and repairing electronic and mechanical equipmentAbility to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematicsStrong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skillsExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsWorking knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including CSA standardsAbility to travel locally for service calls as neededValid Class G driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstractAbility to lift up to 50 lbsMembership Certified Technicians and Technologists Association of Manitoba is an assetIf Interested, please send your resume and cover letter to: recruitment-recrutement@stevens.caWhy Work at Stevens?Comprehensive health and dental benefitsEmployer-matched pension planProfessional development and career growth opportunitiesOpportunities for advancement within the company A Workplace Where Everyone BelongsStevens is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
