Our distributed teams collaborate across Biosecurity, Veterinary Services, Agriculture, Aquaculture, Environmental Health, Research & Development, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, and Executive Leadership to safeguard biological assets, strengthen operational resilience, and promote sustainable practices.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Biosecurity Manager to lead biosecurity strategies, disease prevention programs, biological risk management, and regulatory compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will oversee biosecurity policies, surveillance programs, emergency preparedness, risk assessments, and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring effective prevention, detection, and response to biological threats across organizational operations.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement enterprise biosecurity strategies, policies, standards, and management frameworks aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.Lead biosecurity programs across agricultural operations, livestock facilities, aquaculture sites, laboratories, food production environments, research facilities, and other biosecure operations, as applicable.Collaborate with Veterinary Services, Agriculture, Aquaculture, Environmental Health, Quality Assurance, Research & Development, Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Sustainability, and Executive Leadership to strengthen organizational biosecurity.Develop and maintain biosecurity protocols covering access control, sanitation, quarantine procedures, animal and plant movement, waste management, pest control, decontamination, and disease prevention.Conduct biological risk assessments, biosecurity audits, inspections, surveillance activities, hazard analyses, and vulnerability assessments.Monitor disease surveillance programs, environmental monitoring, laboratory testing, outbreak investigations, and incident reporting activities.Develop emergency preparedness and outbreak response plans, business continuity procedures, containment strategies, and recovery programs.Ensure compliance with UAE biosecurity regulations, veterinary and agricultural legislation, international biosecurity standards, food safety requirements, and organizational governance policies.Coordinate with government agencies, regulatory authorities, laboratories, veterinarians, researchers, and external stakeholders during inspections, audits, investigations, and emergency responses.Deliver biosecurity awareness programs, technical training, emergency response exercises, competency assessments, and best practice guidance for employees and contractors.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including biosecurity compliance, audit performance, disease incidence, response readiness, corrective action completion, training effectiveness, surveillance coverage, and operational resilience.Conduct compliance reviews, root cause analyses, outbreak investigations, benchmarking studies, risk evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.Manage biosecurity budgets, laboratory services, surveillance systems, monitoring equipment, external consultants, regulatory permits, and strategic risk mitigation initiatives.Drive digital transformation through artificial intelligence (AI)-powered disease surveillance, predictive outbreak modeling, IoT-enabled environmental monitoring, automated compliance reporting, workflow automation, and business intelligence solutions.Utilize Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), SAP, Microsoft 365, Power BI, Tableau, environmental monitoring platforms, incident management systems, and biosecurity management technologies to optimize program performance and generate actionable insights.Prepare executive dashboards, biosecurity performance reports, surveillance summaries, outbreak investigations, compliance assessments, risk analyses, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.Lead, mentor, and develop biosecurity specialists, veterinary support personnel, laboratory coordinators, compliance professionals, and cross-functional teams while fostering a culture of scientific excellence, vigilance, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Veterinary Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, Biology, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Public Health, Biosecurity, Biotechnology, or a related field.Master's degree in Biosecurity, Veterinary Public Health, Epidemiology, Environmental Health, Agriculture, Business Administration (MBA), or a related discipline is highly advantageous.Professional certifications in Biosecurity Management, HACCP, ISO Management Systems, Risk Management, Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent are preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience in biosecurity, veterinary services, agriculture, aquaculture, food safety, laboratory operations, epidemiology, environmental health, or related roles.At least 2 years of experience managing biosecurity programs, disease prevention initiatives, laboratory operations, compliance programs, or multidisciplinary teams preferred.Strong understanding of biosecurity principles, disease prevention, epidemiology, risk assessment, laboratory practices, emergency response, environmental monitoring, regulatory compliance, and biological hazard management.Experience with LIMS, GIS platforms, SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, Tableau, environmental monitoring systems, incident management software, and biosecurity management technologies.Familiarity with AI-powered surveillance platforms, predictive disease analytics, IoT-enabled environmental monitoring, digital laboratory technologies, automated compliance systems, and advanced bioinformatics tools is highly advantageous.Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, crisis management, project management, budgeting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple biosecurity initiatives while balancing operational priorities, regulatory compliance, biological risks, budgets, timelines, and organizational objectives.Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with distributed operations teams, laboratories, researchers, regulators, veterinarians, executives, and global stakeholders, with occasional travel for facility inspections,
