قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجJob PurposeThe Biosecurity Risk Assessment Expert – Plant Health is responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and mitigating biosecurity risks related to plant health. The role focuses on developing scientific standards, guidelines, and preparedness frameworks to support biosecurity, pest control, and disease prevention activities, in alignment with national strategies and international best practices.Reports to: Head of Biosecurity Risk Assessment SectionKey ResponsibilitiesAdministrative ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and biosecurity strategies.Prepare periodic reports and submit them to the direct manager.Coordination & Organizational ResponsibilitiesParticipate in meetings and committees as per the authority matrix.Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork, innovation, and knowledge sharing.Coordinate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders.Support the development of smart solutions and digital integration in line with government strategies.Contribute to staff training and capacity-building initiatives.Technical ResponsibilitiesDevelop and update scientific standards and guidelines for veterinary services, pest control activities, disease prevention, and related materials.Provide technical consultations and participate in international conferences.Develop and periodically update preparedness, readiness, and emergency response plans for plant and animal biosecurity risks.Implement and oversee laboratory biosafety and biosecurity programs.Establish and maintain comprehensive biosecurity risk assessment databases and reporting mechanisms.Support the achievement of international accreditations related to biosecurity risk assessment.Assess plant, animal, and aquatic biosecurity risks using scientific methodologies and epidemiological data.Conduct workplace audits and evaluations for biological risks across operational facilities.Manage biological incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and relevant accreditation requirements.Provide technical support for farmer guidance programs and plant health awareness initiatives.Develop performance indicators and monitor departmental performance.Deliver training programs, workshops, and awareness sessions on biosecurity and biosafety.Build strategic internal and external partnerships to enhance biosecurity outcomes.Strong scientific and practical background in Plant Health (mandatory).Perform any other duties as assigned by the direct manager..Qualifications & ExperiencePhD in Plant Health, Risk Management, or a related discipline with 4 years of experienceorMaster’s degree in Plant Health, Risk Management, or a related discipline with 6 years of experience.Bilingual (Fluency in English and Arabic).
