Location: Bengaluru, KarnatakaEmployment Type: Full-Time | OnsiteExperience: Freshers / 0–2 YearsDepartment: R&D / Biotechnology / FermentationJob Summary:We are looking for an energetic, responsible, and hands-on Junior Biotechnologist to join our R&D team. The candidate will support routine laboratory operations, microbial culture work, fermentation/bioprocess experiments, biochemical assays, and documentation.This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced R&D environment, suitable for candidates who are keen to learn, take ownership of assigned work, and contribute actively to ongoing projects.Key Responsibilities:Perform routine microbial culture handling, maintenance, propagation, isolation, enrichment, and screening.Prepare culture media, buffers, reagents, and solutions, including pH adjustment, sterilization, and autoclaving.Follow appropriate aseptic techniques, laboratory safety, biosafety, and GLP practices. Monitor cultures and fermentation experiments and collect/process samples at defined time points.Perform routine microbiological and biochemical assays and accurately record experimental observations and results.Operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment such as UV-Visible spectrophotometer, centrifuge, pH meter, autoclave, incubator/shaker, and analytical balance. Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks, SOP records, culture records, experimental data, and reports.Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and inventory of consumables and reagents.Support sample preparation and coordination for downstream analytical testing when required.Work closely with team members and manage multiple laboratory activities according to project priorities.Education: . Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or related disciplines.· Candidates with 0–2 years of relevant laboratory/R&D experience are preferred encouraged to apply.·  Freshers are welcome to apply, provided they have relevant academic or laboratory experience in the above-mentioned areas.Required Skills:· Good understanding of basic Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Fermentation.· Hands-on knowledge of microbial isolation, culture handling, media preparation, sterilization, and aseptic techniques.·  Familiarity with biochemical and microbiological assays.· Basic practical knowledge of laboratory instruments, particularly LAF, Microscope, UV-Visible spectrophotometer and centrifuges.·  Ability to perform basic laboratory calculations, dilutions, and solution preparation.·  Good experimental documentation and data-recording skills.·  Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary R&D environment and willingness to learn new techniques.·  Good teamwork, communication, organization, and time-management skills.·   Able to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with the team.·   Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership of assigned activities.
