The company offers opportunities to contribute to large-scale projects within the regional marine and offshore sector.Role Description The Blasting & Painting Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi. This role oversees surface preparation and coating activities, including abrasive blasting, priming, and spray painting of vessels, structures, and steel components. The foreman coordinates daily work plans, assigns tasks to blasting and painting crews, and monitors progress to meet project schedules and quality requirements. Responsibilities include inspecting surfaces before and after blasting and painting, ensuring correct use of materials and equipment, and enforcing safety procedures and environmental controls. The foreman also liaises with supervisors and inspectors, maintains work records, and supports training and guidance for team members to ensure consistent, high-standard results.Qualifications Ability to work with a range of paints and coatings, including surface preparation, application, and inspection.Skills in painting and decorating for industrial and marine structures, with attention to detail and finish quality.Experience in painting and spray painting techniques, including airless and conventional spray systems.Strong leadership and team supervision skills, with experience coordinating blasting and painting crews.Knowledge of marine and industrial safety standards, PPE requirements, and safe handling of blasting and painting equipment.Experience in shipyards, offshore, or heavy steel fabrication environments is preferred.Ability to read and follow technical specifications, drawings, and coating system procedures.Good communication skills and the ability to work in a multicultural team.Relevant vocational training or certification in industrial painting, coating application, or surface preparation is an advantage.Physically able to work in outdoor, confined, and elevated areas, following all safety guidelines.
