Team members support healthcare organizations by ensuring that critical medical equipment is safe, reliable, and compliant with industry standards.Role Description The BMET I role is a full-time, field service position. This role is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance on general biomedical equipment, following established procedures and documentation requirements. The BMET I will assist with equipment repairs, troubleshooting performance issues, and verifying proper operation and safety before returning devices to service. Daily tasks include inspecting equipment for wear or damage, performing basic calibrations, updating maintenance records, and supporting senior technicians as needed. The individual in this role will interact with clinical staff to coordinate service schedules, respond to service requests, and help ensure that patient care is supported by safe and functional equipment.Qualifications Skills in equipment maintenance and preventive servicing of medical equipment.Experience or training in equipment repair, including basic troubleshooting and component replacement.Knowledge of electrical safety principles related to clinical and biomedical devices.Ability to perform or assist with calibration of medical equipment to ensure accurate performance.Certificate or associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field preferred.Understanding of healthcare environments and patient safety standards.Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinical and technical teams.Organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain accurate service and maintenance documentation.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to customer sites as needed.Prior internship, co-op, or entry-level experience in biomedical or electronic equipment service is a plus.
