Team members work within a client-focused environment, supporting individuals and families through complex legal issues.Role Description The Bookkeeping/Accounting Intern will support the firm’s finance and administration team in managing day-to-day financial operations. This full-time, on-site role is based in Timmins, ON and includes tasks such as recording journal entries, assisting with monthly and year-end financial statement preparation, and maintaining accurate bookkeeping records. The intern will help reconcile accounts, process invoices and expenses, and ensure data is correctly entered in accounting software. Additional responsibilities include supporting financial reporting, organizing documentation for audits or reviews, and collaborating with legal and administrative staff to ensure timely, accurate financial information.Qualifications Ability to work with Financial Statements and basic Finance concepts.Proficiency or developing skills in Bookkeeping and Journal Entries (Accounting).Familiarity with Accounting Software and willingness to learn new systems.Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an office setting.Enrollment in or completion of post-secondary studies in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is an asset.Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools; experience in a professional services or legal environment is an advantage.
