Branch Manager

Position OverviewResponsible for the overall administration, operations, customer service, sales, compliance, and profitability of a full-service bank branch. This is an in-office position requiring strong leadership, sales, and relationship-management skills.Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily branch operations, ensuring compliance with bank policies and state/federal banking regulations.Hire, train, coach, and develop branch staff while managing performance and staffing needs.Drive branch growth through deposit generation, sales strategies, customer retention, and relationship building.Monitor branch performance, deposits, transactions, expenses, and profitability; take corrective action as needed.Ensure operational quality, audit readiness, security, and adherence to established procedures.Deliver exceptional customer service and proactively resolve complex customer and account issues.Develop and execute sales strategies including outbound calls, customer meetings, networking, community events, and cross-selling.Coach employees on sales techniques, product knowledge, customer profiling, and referral generation.Identify new business opportunities and work with lending teams on small-business credit referrals.Build relationships within the local business and community organizations.Oversee branch schedules, employee performance reviews, training, and day-to-day staffing.Participate in community/CRA activities as required.Qualifications7+ years of banking branch experience.5+ years of branch management experience.3+ years managing complex business and consumer accounts.Proven sales ability with a track record of branch growth.Strong leadership, team-building, coaching, and performance-management skills.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Experience hiring, training, and developing employees.Active involvement in local business/community organizations preferred.Notary Public preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking systems.Valid California driver's license and reliable vehicle.Ability to work flexible hours and travel locally as needed.
