The Branch Manager will oversee day-to-day branch operations, including managing hire and sales activities, coordinating tool and plant availability, and ensuring high standards of customer service. Responsibilities include supervising and supporting branch staff, organizing schedules, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring equipment is maintained and presented appropriately. The role also involves handling key accounts, preparing quotations, managing orders, and resolving customer queries or issues promptly. The Branch Manager will be accountable for branch performance, including health and safety compliance, cost control, and meeting revenue and profitability targets while promoting the company’s services locally.Qualifications Experience in branch or depot management, preferably within tool hire, plant hire, construction supply, or a related industry.Strong people management skills, including staff supervision, coaching, and team development.Customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with trade and commercial clients.Operational and organizational skills, including stock control, scheduling, and basic planning of logistics and deliveries.Commercial awareness, with experience in sales, negotiation, and achieving revenue or margin targets.Understanding of health and safety requirements relevant to tools, plant, and construction environments.Competence in using basic IT systems for order processing, record-keeping, and email communication.Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role and a valid driving license are highly beneficial.
