Team members at Nantahala Bank work in a close-knit environment with a focus on building long-term customer relationships.Role Description The Branch Sales and Service Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at the Murphy, NC branch. This position oversees daily branch operations, including managing staff schedules, monitoring transaction activities, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. The manager is responsible for meeting branch sales goals through developing customer relationships, cross-selling products, and supporting marketing initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include coaching and mentoring team members, handling escalated customer inquiries and issues, approving transactions within designated authority levels, and reviewing performance metrics. The role also involves maintaining a high standard of customer service, safeguarding branch assets, and contributing to community outreach and business development efforts.Qualifications Experience in branch banking operations, including cash handling, deposit services, and loan processing.Demonstrated skills in sales, cross-selling banking products, and achieving branch or team performance targets.Strong customer service, relationship management, and conflict resolution abilities.Leadership experience in supervising, coaching, and developing team members in a service-oriented environment.Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance procedures, and risk management practices.Proficiency with banking software, standard office applications, and basic data analysis for performance reporting.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational and time-management capabilities.Prior experience in retail banking or financial services preferred; management experience within a branch setting is a plus.Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to work on-site in Murphy, NC, including occasional extended hours based on branch needs.
