Ltd.Location: Palampur, Himachal PradeshRole: Manager – Brewery OperationsEmployment: Full-time | On-siteCompensation: Competitive, based on experienceAccommodation: Company accommodation availableAbout Hill Farm OrganicsHill Farm Organics is a craft beverage company based in the foothills of the Dhauladhars in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh.Our brewery produces kombucha and other fermented and functional beverages, including our flagship brand ZYM. We are now scaling our production capabilities and are looking for a hands-on Brewery Operations Manager who can take ownership of day-to-day production and help us build a disciplined, efficient and quality-focused brewery operation.The RoleWe are looking for someone who enjoys being on the production floor, solving problems and building systems.The Manager – Brewery Operations will take responsibility for the complete production cycle — from raw material planning and brewing through fermentation, filtration, packaging, cold storage and dispatch.This is not primarily a desk-based management role. The successful candidate should be comfortable working directly with tanks, pumps, chillers, fillers, CIP systems and production teams while simultaneously developing the SOPs and controls required to scale the brewery.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Brewery OperationsPlan and execute daily and weekly production schedules.Manage brewing, fermentation, blending, filtration and packaging operations.Monitor fermentation parameters and ensure batch consistency.Coordinate bottling, canning and kegging operations.Ensure finished products meet defined quality and sensory standards.Maintain accurate batch and production records.Improve production efficiency, yield and equipment utilization.Quality, Hygiene & Food SafetyEstablish and enforce SOPs for brewery operations.Maintain GMP, sanitation and hygiene standards throughout the facility.Implement effective CIP and cleaning protocols for tanks, pipelines, fillers and kegs.Coordinate microbiological and product testing.Maintain traceability of raw materials and finished products.Ensure compliance with applicable FSSAI and food manufacturing requirements.Fermentation & Product StabilityBecause our primary products are fermented beverages, the role requires particular attention to:Fermentation control and batch-to-batch consistency.pH, Brix, temperature and other relevant production parameters.Carbonation management.Filtration and product stabilization.Cold-chain management.Prevention of contamination and uncontrolled secondary fermentation.Shelf-life improvement while maintaining product quality.Previous kombucha experience is helpful but not essential if the candidate has strong fermentation, brewing, dairy, beverage or food-processing experience.Equipment & MaintenanceTake operational ownership of brewery equipment including:Brewing and fermentation tanksJacketed vesselsChillers and refrigeration systemsPumps and process pipingFiltration systemsBottle/can filling equipmentKeg filling and washing systemsCIP systemsCold roomsUtilities and associated production equipmentCoordinate preventive maintenance and work with technicians/fabricators to resolve equipment issues quickly.Inventory & PlanningMaintain appropriate stocks of tea, sugar, ingredients and processing materials.Manage packaging inventory including bottles, cans, caps, labels, cartons and kegs.Coordinate procurement requirements with management.Monitor production losses and material consumption.Maintain finished-goods inventory and coordinate with sales/dispatch teams.Team ManagementLead and supervise the brewery production team.Allocate daily responsibilities and production targets.Train operators in SOPs, hygiene, safety and equipment operation.Build a culture of cleanliness, accountability and continuous improvement.Who We're Looking ForIdeally, you have:3–8 years of experience in brewery, beverage, dairy, fermentation or food-processing operations.A degree/diploma in Food Technology, Brewing, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Dairy Technology or a related discipline.Practical understanding of fermentation and food-processing equipment.Experience implementing SOPs, GMP and sanitation systems.Strong troubleshooting ability.Experience managing production teams and shop-floor operations.Experience with kombucha, beer, fermented beverages, juices, functional beverages or other microbial fermentation processes would be particularly relevant.More Important Than Your DegreeWe're particularly interested in candidates who:Are genuinely hands-on.Notice problems before they become production failures.Enjoy improving machines and processes.Keep meticulous production records.Understand that sanitation is non-negotiable in fermentation.Can train and lead a production team.Are comfortable working in a growing company where systems are still being built.Want ownership rather than simply executing instructions.Why Join Us?This is an opportunity to help build a growing craft beverage operation rather than simply inherit an established production line.You will have significant involvement in production systems, fermentation processes, equipment selection, plant improvements, quality systems and capacity expansion as Hill Farm Organics grows.And you'll be doing it from Palampur, Himachal Pradesh — surrounded by the Dhauladhar mountains.How to ApplyPlease send your CV along with a short note describing:Your current/most recent production responsibility.The type and scale of plant you have operated.Your experience with fermentation or beverage production.One production/process problem you personally solved.Current compensation, expected compensation and notice period.Subject: Application – Manager, Brewery Operations | Hill Farm Organics
