Broadcast Engineer

A-V Services Inc., a leading AV company with multiple fortune 100 contracts within the financial, pharmaceutical and computing industry, seeks an Broadcast Engineer for onsite support. Must have great customer service with emphasis supporting the corporate work sector. Additionally, comprehensive audio video skills. Ideal candidate would have Associates level college degree in a technology related field and/or minimum 3 years of previous employment with AV support responsibilities in the AV industry.The Broadcast Operations & Engineering requires an expert level understanding of broadcast engineering, spine and leaf networks, operational experience in complex broadcast T.V environments/ live event spaces and should have prior experience as a senior video engineer, and/or senior technical operator.Schedule: This position requires working an afternoon/evening shift, with hours of either 2:00 PM-10:00 PM or 3:00 PM-11:00 PMJob ResponsibilitiesProvides leadership and timely resolutions during major outages, and ensures all redundant paths are working and/or break glass solutions are deployedProvides proactive monitoring and system integrity checks – pre-event and during eventsProvides development of EOL strategy, upgrade design path and integration plan in line with capital refresh cycle and a/v engineering strategyWorks as a single point of contact for all network changes and patches, and partners with network engineers and a/v engineering on all outages and resolutionDrives proactive monitoring of all critical systemsWorks with head of event production, head of virtual production and conference center operations manager(s) to ensure event readiness.Develop, publish and maintain comprehensive operational SOP documentsRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skillsDeep knowledge of deployment and/ or operational experience with SMPTE 2110 (Audio, Video, Data Over IP)Providius – Media Analysis, Network Telemetry and Cyber Security toolDeep knowledge of advanced and practical broadcast and ProAV signal flows and processingDeep knowledge of spine and leaf network topology (Arista DCS-Series, CCS-Series, Media Control Service [MCS] & CloudVision), Core understanding of network protocols, network services and how they relate to a broadcast IP Media networkPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsDeep knowledge of Immersive Design Studio’s, CANVAS System. A live event experience media server system with Zoom integration, and deep knowledge of Broadcast Control Systems, notably EVS, Cerebrum softwareDeep knowledge of Ross video switching ecosystem. Ultrix Carbonite & xPression , and advanced knowledge of ProAV digital audio mixers, DSP’s.
