The ideal candidate will oversee broadcast technology, systems integration, network reliability, regulatory compliance, engineering projects, and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring uninterrupted, high-quality content delivery across all broadcast platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement broadcast engineering strategies, technology roadmaps, infrastructure standards, and operational frameworks aligned with organizational objectives.Lead engineering operations supporting television, radio, IPTV, OTT, satellite, terrestrial, and digital broadcasting environments.Collaborate with Media Operations, Production, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Facilities, Content Delivery, Vendors, and Executive Leadership to ensure reliable broadcast services.Oversee broadcast transmission systems, master control operations, studio infrastructure, playout automation, routing systems, signal distribution, and content delivery networks.Manage broadcast equipment including cameras, audio systems, video servers, routers, encoders, decoders, switchers, storage systems, transmitters, satellite links, and IP-based broadcast infrastructure.Plan and execute engineering projects including system upgrades, facility expansions, technology migrations, cloud broadcasting initiatives, and disaster recovery implementations.Establish preventive maintenance programs, asset lifecycle management, equipment calibration, system monitoring, and technical support processes.Ensure compliance with broadcast engineering standards, spectrum regulations, RF transmission requirements, signal quality standards, cybersecurity policies, and organizational governance.Coordinate vendor relationships, equipment procurement, technology evaluations, service contracts, and engineering documentation.Develop engineering procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical documentation, incident response plans, and business continuity strategies.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including broadcast uptime, signal quality, equipment availability, network performance, incident resolution times, project delivery, maintenance compliance, and operational efficiency.Conduct engineering audits, technical risk assessments, system performance evaluations, capacity planning, benchmarking studies, and continuous improvement initiatives.Manage engineering budgets, capital expenditure (CapEx), operational expenditure (OpEx), broadcast technology investments, software licensing, and strategic modernization programs.Drive digital transformation through artificial intelligence (AI)-powered broadcast monitoring, predictive equipment maintenance, cloud-based media workflows, IP broadcasting technologies, automated quality control, workflow automation, and business intelligence solutions.Utilize Grass Valley, Imagine Communications, Evertz, Ross Video, Vizrt, Avid, EVS, Dalet, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft 365, VMware, Cisco networking technologies, Power BI, Tableau, SNMP monitoring tools, cloud platforms, and broadcast management systems to optimize engineering performance and generate actionable insights.Prepare executive dashboards, engineering performance reports, infrastructure assessments, technology roadmaps, incident analyses, project updates, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.Lead, mentor, and develop broadcast engineers, systems engineers, network specialists, maintenance technicians, and cross-functional teams while fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Broadcast Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.Master's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Media Technology, Business Administration (MBA), or a related discipline is highly advantageous.Professional certifications such as Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE), Cisco CCNP/CCIE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, PMP, ITIL, SMPTE certifications, or equivalent are preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience in broadcast engineering, media technology, transmission engineering, network engineering, audiovisual systems, or related roles.At least 2 years of experience managing broadcast engineering teams, media infrastructure projects, technical operations, or enterprise broadcast environments preferred.Strong understanding of television and radio broadcasting, IP media networks, SMPTE standards, SDI/IP workflows, OTT streaming, cloud broadcasting, RF systems, signal processing, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and engineering project management.Experience with Grass Valley, Imagine Communications, Evertz, Ross Video, Vizrt, Avid, EVS, Dalet, Cisco networking technologies, VMware, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, Tableau, cloud platforms, and broadcast management systems.Familiarity with AI-powered broadcast monitoring, cloud-native production, virtualized playout systems, automated media quality assurance, IP-based broadcasting, and advanced media analytics is highly advantageous.Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, technical troubleshooting, analytical thinking, project management, budgeting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple engineering initiatives while balancing broadcast reliability, technology modernization, regulatory compliance, operational priorities, budgets, timelines, and organizational objectives.Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with distributed engineering teams, production staff, technology vendors, broadcasters, regulators, executives, and global stakeholders, with occasional travel for site installations, live event support, technology deployments, vendor meetings, and
