Since its inception, NETKOM has experienced continuous growth, expanding its human and financial resources in line with increasing project demands.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Saudi Arabia for a BSS and Microwave Telecom Engineer. The role involves planning, implementing, and maintaining Base Station Subsystem (BSS) and microwave transmission networks, including site surveys, equipment installation, integration, and commissioning. The engineer will monitor network performance, conduct fault diagnosis and troubleshooting, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure high availability and quality of service. Daily responsibilities include configuring and optimizing microwave links, performing link budget analysis, maintaining documentation and network records, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors for project execution. The role also requires adherence to NETKOM’s health and safety standards, participation in network rollout projects, and support for continuous improvement in processes and technologies.Qualifications Solid knowledge of BSS architecture, GSM/UMTS/LTE/5G radio access networks, and microwave transmission systems, including planning, configuration, and optimization.Hands-on experience with installation, integration, commissioning, and maintenance of telecom equipment such as BTS, NodeB/eNodeB/gNodeB, microwave radios, antennas, and related infrastructure.Proficiency in network performance analysis, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting using standard telecom tools, monitoring platforms, and vendor-specific software.Understanding of RF principles, link budget calculations, path profiles, frequency planning, and basic IP networking concepts relevant to backhaul and transport.Strong documentation and reporting skills, including maintaining network diagrams, configuration records, acceptance test reports, and site audit documents.Commitment to health, safety, and quality standards, with the ability to follow established procedures and best practices in field and on-site work.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with project managers, field teams, vendors, and customers in a multicultural environment.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering, or
