DriveTerra is building the charging backbone for electric last-mile delivery in the UAE. Our network of battery-swapping stations lets a rider trade a depleted battery for a charged one in seconds, with no downtime — and it is live across Dubai today, in partnership with market leaders. As the rollout expands, we need people to run it.THE ROLEThe BSS Network Operations & Maintenance manages the day-to-day operations of battery swap stations, ensuring smooth service delivery and operational reliability. This role involves overseeing battery supply, monitoring station performance, troubleshooting issues, supporting drivers, coordinating with technical teams, and optimizing station processes through operational data and reporting.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Run site surveys and technical assessments: available and connected load, cable sizing, breaker ratings, protection and overall power requirementsRead and work from load schedules, single line diagrams and DB and panel layoutsCoordinate installation, testing, commissioning, energisation, inspection and handoverSupervise electrical technicians and contractor teams on live sitesPlan and run preventive and corrective maintenance across chargers, panels, breakers, cabling and communication systemsMonitor uptime, charger and slot status, connectivity, alarms and station performance, and troubleshoot electrical, hardware and communication faultsKeep maintenance schedules, fault records, service history and spare-parts inventory in orderManage battery supply and availability so service is not interrupted, and support drivers on site when neededEnsure compliance with DEWA requirements, UAE electrical regulations, RTA approvals, HSE procedures and work permitsReport weekly and monthly on installation progress, uptime, utilisation, downtime, faults and pending actionsREQUIREMENTSDegree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent practical qualification2+ years in electrical installation, EV charging infrastructure or comparable field operations, UAE experience preferredConfident reading single line diagrams and load schedules, and sizing cables and breakersExperience supervising technicians or contractors on live electrical sitesWorking knowledge of DEWA and RTA approval processeswillingness to travel across the EmiratesEnglish for reporting and client communication; an additional language spoken by site crews is an advantageValid UAE driving licence preferredHands-on experience with EV chargers, battery swap stations or battery management systems preferredTOOLS & TECHNOLOGIESOperations & Monitoring: Swap station monitoring systems, internal reporting and optimization softwareMapping & Planning: Maps for upcoming station locationsProject Management & Collaboration: Google Sheets, Docs, Slides, Microsoft Project, ERP (Asana), JiraReporting & Analytics: Excel, Power BI, TableauCommunication: Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, ZoomOEM Coordination: OEM portals for BSS updates, firmware, and battery management
