The work spans discovery, solution architecture, integration design, documentation, design reviews, and stabilization.This is primarily an architecture and solution design role, rather than a hands-on ServiceNow development position.ResponsibilitiesLead solution architecture and workflow design for ServiceNow initiatives within a telecommunications BSS environment.Design scalable ServiceNow solutions aligned with business requirements, enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and platform best practices.Architect ServiceNow Order Management for Telecom (SOMD) solutions supporting telecom BSS processes.Design and customize BSS Order Management flows, including order decomposition, orchestration, automation, service fulfillment, and service activation.Translate telecom BSS and business requirements into scalable technical and functional architectures.Support migration from legacy telecom systems and processes into ServiceNow Order Management for Telecom.Develop integration strategies between ServiceNow and BSS, CRM, billing, provisioning, inventory, ERP, and other enterprise platforms.Design and document integrations using APIs and enterprise integration patterns.Create and maintain solution architecture, integration, workflow, and technical design documentation.Lead and participate in technical and architecture design reviews.Partner with client product managers, project managers, business users, enterprise architects, and other technical stakeholders.Collaborate with development and implementation teams to ensure architectural designs are executed accurately and efficiently.Ensure solutions follow ServiceNow best practices for scalability, performance, maintainability, governance, and upgradeability.Support multiple project tracks and contribute across discovery, architecture, integration, and stabilization phases as needed.Complete high-quality architecture and design deliverables within established project timelines.Provide technical leadership while working within enterprise architecture review and approval processes.Required Qualifications8+ years of experience in enterprise solution architecture, ServiceNow implementation, technical leadership, or related technology roles.Significant architecture experience within telecommunications BSS environments.Strong understanding of telecom BSS processes and Order Management flows.Direct professional experience working with ServiceNow.Working experience with ServiceNow Order Management for Telecom (SOMD) or directly comparable ServiceNow telecom Order Management capabilities.Experience with telecom Order Management concepts such as:Order decompositionOrder orchestrationWorkflow automationService fulfillmentService activationExperience designing integrations between ServiceNow and BSS or other enterprise applications.Strong solution architecture and workflow design capabilities.Ability to develop architecture, integration, and technical design documentation.Experience translating business and product requirements into technical architecture and solution designs.Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate directly with client stakeholders, product owners, project managers, business users, and technical teams.Ability to work independently while collaborating within an enterprise architecture governance structure.Flexibility to support multiple project tracks and different phases of the architecture lifecycle.Must be a U.S. citizen and currently reside within the United States.Preferred QualificationsServiceNow ITOM experience.ServiceNow CSM experience.Experience with ServiceNow IntegrationHub and enterprise APIs.Experience with REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, web services, middleware, or related enterprise integration technologies.Experience with product and catalog management, billing, customer management, or customer service processes within telecommunications.Experience with wireless, wireline, broadband, cable, satellite, or other telecommunications environments.Experience supporting legacy-system modernization or large-scale digital transformation initiatives.Familiarity with major telecom BSS platforms and ecosystems.ServiceNow certifications are a plus but are not required.What Success Looks LikeThe successful architect will quickly become a trusted technical contributor who can:Understand complex telecom BSS requirements and translate them into effective ServiceNow architecture.Work confidently across discovery, architecture, integration, and stabilization activities.Design high-quality BSS Order Management workflows and solutions.Produce clear, timely architecture and integration documentation.Collaborate effectively with geographically distributed client and delivery teams.Adapt as priorities shift across multiple transformation workstreams.Work EnvironmentThis is a fully remote U.S.-based position. The architect will collaborate with teams across multiple geographies, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and India, so flexibility for occasional early or later meetings is required.The position is heavily focused on architecture and solution design, with approximately 80% of the role centered on architectural work and the remaining time focused on coordination, knowledge transfer, meetings, and collaboration.
