Budget Specialist

Job SummaryWe are looking for a Budgeting Specialist to join the Finance team and support the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of budgets and financial plans. The role will contribute to financial forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting while providing accurate financial insights to support effective business decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts in coordination with relevant departments.Monitor actual financial performance against approved budgets and analyze variances.Prepare periodic budget performance and financial forecasting reports.Review and analyze financial data, expenditures, and budget utilization to ensure alignment with approved plans.Support various departments in preparing and monitoring their budgets and financial plans.Assist in updating financial forecasts based on actual performance and changing financial conditions.Analyze financial trends, costs, and budget performance and provide relevant insights and recommendations.Prepare and maintain budget models, financial reports, and supporting documentation.Coordinate with different departments to ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data.Contribute to improving budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial control processes.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.Professional certification in Finance or Accounting is preferred.Minimum 3 years of experience in Finance, Budgeting, Financial Planning, or a related field.Practical experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.Experience in preparing financial reports and analysis.SkillsStrong financial and analytical skills.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning principles.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
