Busbar Technician- Electrical Switchgear

Job DescriptionInterpret detailed design drawings to determine the busbar size and specifications.Measure, cut, punch and bend busbars to precise dimensions and tolerances.Install insulation, fixings and supports to ensure integrity of busbar assembly.Mount and install components such as circuit breakers, relays, etc. in the panels.Assemble and install low voltage switchgear panels on site as per approved drawings.Ensure proper busbar alignment, earthing and secure cable terminations.Coordinate with engineers and QC teams during testing & commissioning.Adhere strictly to industry health, safety and environment (HSE) standards.Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.Prepare and maintain job completion documents and maintenance reports.SkillsThorough knowledge in the operation and maintenance of busbar machines. Ability to read and understand the technical drawings and BOM.Familiarity of switchgear components and their handling methods.Strong understanding of HSE rules and safety standards. CompetencyDiploma in Engineering with 3 years / ITI with 5 years Experience
