We’re currently seeking an experienced Business Advisory Manager.In this role, you’ll be supporting businesses experiencing financial distress, particularly those struggling with VAT, PAYE, and National Insurance arrears. You will work in the specialist business advisory team with a proven track record of successfully negotiating with HMRC, enabling repayment plans, and helping businesses survive and recover.You’ll also deliver cash flow solutions, interim consultancy, and lender introductions, while working collaboratively with Restructuring & Insolvency, Funding, and Legal teams to achieve the best outcomes.Primary location: Manchester. We are recruiting for the same position nationally and welcome applicants from across the UKRole RequirementsSelf-driven with a positive outlookMotivated and proactive with the ability to work both well alone and as part of a teamStrong organisation and planning skills with ability to work to deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSound financial knowledge and numerical skillsGood knowledge of Microsoft Office packagesExcellent interpersonal skillsRole ResponsibilitiesTaking an active role in client meetings from initial contact, with responsibility for progressing complex cases through to appointment and ongoing case managementPrepare profit and loss statements and cash flow forecasts to support debt repayment plans for HMRCDraft reports for HMRC negotiations and concise business reviewsLiaise with business owners and directors to gather essential financial and operational informationSupport senior managers and directors in the development and delivery of tailored cash management strategies for distressed businessesCoordinate with asset-based lenders and funders, providing accurate financial projections and supporting documentationManage a portfolio of client cases, ensuring timely and effective case progressionAssist in the day-to-day management of transaction processes, including preparing information packs, conducting financial analysis, and supporting client communicationsBuild and analyse financial models and business forecasts to support strategic recommendationsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external professionals, including accountants, solicitors, and funding partnersRole BenefitsSalary aligned with your skills and expertise25 days holiday allowance plus statutory public holidaysA clear progression route to further your careerFlexible benefit and well-being schemesBirthday leave2 giving back days per year.
