Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe ChallengeEvery year, the healthcare industry loses billions to billing failures. We are the missing link that closes this gap with AI. We are growing fast, with real operations, active clients, and new partners in the pipeline. We are looking for an analyst to investigate our clients' data and turn findings into recovered revenue and automation. The role sits within the AI team, at the intersection of data, applied AI, and billing operations. Why This Role Might Be for YouHere, autonomy and ownership are part of everyday work. We are not looking for people who already know everything; not knowing everything is part of the process — we value investigative curiosity and the ability to learn quickly.Day to day, you work deep inside our clients' operations: you investigate imperfect data, separate data problems from process problems, and translate it all into business decisions. You propose hypotheses, validate data manually, and use AI to accelerate every step — never accepting a model's answer without verifying it.Key ResponsibilitiesYour mission is to be the bridge between client data, the product, and the business:Now (Investigation and Diagnosis)Investigate operational and client data (claims, denials, billing) — assess data quality, identify anomalies and non-obvious patterns.Formulate hypotheses, decide where the investigation goes next, and distinguish data problems from process or product problems.Ensure absolute accuracy by manually reconciling data against rules; in healthcare, data quality is non-negotiable.Use AI (LLMs and agents) to accelerate the investigation — and audit the output: recognizing when the model hallucinates, gets things wrong, or leaves things out is part of the job.Scale what works: identify patterns across investigations and turn them into reusable queries, templates, and analyses — today's one-off finding becomes tomorrow's standard analysis.Translate findings into clear recommendations for clients and internal teams, from operations staff to executives.Next (Product and Scale)Turn the assessment process into a repeatable product workflow: reusable playbooks, metrics, and quality methods.Recognize recurring patterns across clients and convert them into automation opportunities.Join the team's AI discussions — model evaluation, quality criteria, new use cases — bringing in what client data reveals.Work with engineering to close the loop: evaluation → automation → measurement. What We’re Looking ForExperience: 2–5 years in analytical, consulting, or data roles. This is a role where you'll grow alongside the team.Experience using AI in real-world work: LLMs and agents as productivity multipliers in your own analysis — and the critical judgment to audit model output before relying on it. This is a requirement, not a nice-to-have.Fluent or advanced English: our clients and systems work in English; written and spoken communication is part of the job.Solid SQL + Python (or equivalent) for investigative and reproducible analysis — tools for analysis, not for building systems.Investigative curiosity about medical billing: you don't need to come from healthcare, but you need to want to master the domain.Comfort with ambiguity: structure poorly defined problems, document assumptions, and know when to escalate.Business acumen and communication: connect data to business value and explain it to any audience — from biller to C-level.What We OfferEarly-stage opportunity: be one of the first team members at a fast-growing company, with direct impact on the product and the culture.Real exposure to applied AI: the role sits inside the AI team, and you take part in the decisions about models, evaluation, and automation that define the product — you are not a spectator.Flexibility and upside: 100% remote role with equity for those who help us build the business.
