This role will be instrumental in translating business objectives into actionable product requirements, enabling engineering teams to deliver scalable, user-centered solutions while maintaining a seamless customer experience.This is more than a documentation role. We're looking for someone who enjoys collaborating across product, engineering, QA, and business teams, driving clarity throughout the delivery process and helping transform complex business needs into well-defined solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and engineering teams to understand business goals, user needs, and product requirements.Elicit, analyze, and document functional requirements, business rules, user stories, and acceptance criteria.Facilitate backlog refinement and grooming sessions, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, estimated, and prioritized.Support backlog management by maintaining high-quality documentation and helping drive product priorities.Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and cross-functional delivery teams.Collaborate with QA teams to define acceptance criteria, testing scenarios, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).Identify risks, dependencies, blockers, and process improvement opportunities throughout the software development lifecycle.Contribute to product roadmap discussions by providing business insights and helping prioritize initiatives that maximize customer value.Promote Agile best practices while ensuring transparency, alignment, and effective communication across distributed teams.Must-Have Requirements4+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst within software development projects.Hands-on experience working with eCommerce products and/or mobile applications.Strong understanding of eCommerce user journeys and terminology, including PDP, PLP, Shopping Cart, and Checkout. Ability to understand eCommerce flows and turn business needs into clear, well-structured requirements.Proven experience gathering business requirements and translating them into detailed functional specifications.Extensive experience writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs.Strong proficiency using Jira or comparable backlog and issue management platforms.Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.Excellent analytical thinking, organization, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.Native-level Spanish and advanced English are required.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting the delivery of customer-facing digital products in production environments.Experience within banking or financial services, particularly in a website or mobile app setting, is a strong plus.Familiarity with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and quality assurance processes.Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.Experience collaborating with distributed or remote engineering teams.Strong product mindset with a continuous improvement approach.Engagement DetailsEngagement Type: Independent Contractor.Duration: Initial 12-month engagement, with a strong possibility of extension based on project evolution and performance.Location: Hybrid role based in Mexico City - PolancoOn-site Requirement: Minimum 2 days per week.Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PMWho You AreYou are a Business Analyst who enjoys bringing structure to complex business challenges.
