Our clients include top global banks, leading asset managers, insurance and reinsurance companies, corporates across the credit spectrum, and governmental entities.The Awbury team brings deep experience in underwriting, deal structuring, complex credit risk assessment, and capital and global risk program management — enabling constant innovation, flexibility, and timely delivery of executable transactions.THE OPPORTUNITYThe Analyst will support the origination, structuring and execution of credit risk insurance transactions with global and regional bank counterparties across Asia Pacific, including Japan. This includes assisting the broader marketing, structuring, operations and accounting team across the full lifecycle of transactions — from research and origination to booking, reconciliation and reporting — and facilitating information flow with internal and external stakeholders. The Analyst will also assist with AML/KYC and support the broader team through the transaction closing process.Given the size of the Singapore office, the role is expected to flex across both origination support and general analyst responsibilities as required.The successful candidate will have advanced communication skills, an innate ability to simplify complex concepts, and the versatility to plan, prioritize and seamlessly support the broader team across multiple areas. This role offers significant opportunity to grow with the business and considerable access to the deal and business team.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES✔ Support credit analysis and due diligence on prospective counterparties, obligors and portfolios underlying proposed transactions✔ Assist in structuring bank-facing insurance solutions, including risk mitigation, capital relief and other risk transfer solutions✔ Prepare and maintain marketing materials, pitchbooks and client presentations for origination discussions✔ Draft term sheets, internal credit memos and governance papers in support of deal approval processes✔ Conduct market and counterparty research, including regulatory capital (Basel/RWA) analysis relevant to bank clients✔ Assist with AML/KYC processes for internal and external clients✔ Reconcile cash and positions with external parties and across systems✔ Monitor collateral accounts and risk exposures✔ Ad hoc projects and analysis as required✔ Considerable growth opportunitiesWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR✔ 1-3 years of experience✔ Prior credit training (bank credit or insurance underwriting program) or experience with financial products including leveraged loans, private equity, bonds, CLO and FX is helpful✔ Working knowledge of bank capital and regulatory frameworks (Basel III/IV, RWA) is an advantage✔ Fluency in English required; Japanese preferred✔ Excellent time management, problem solving, teamwork and communication skills; strong interpersonal skill✔ Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications required; working knowledge of, or willingness to learn, Bloomberg, Intex and similar financial applications✔ Self-motivated with a strong work ethic✔ Strong accuracy aptitude and detail orientation✔ Ability to multi-task and work under pressure within a deadline-oriented environmentEDUCATIONBachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred; CFA or credit/risk certifications a plus.COMPENSATIONA competitive package including annual salary and performance-related bonus.To apply, please contact careers@awbury.com
