Business Analyst

Role: Senior Business System Analyst (Property & Casualty Insurance Domain)Experience Level: 4+ YearsWork location: Mumbai or BangaloreRole & Responsibilities:● Comes with deep BFSI expertise and is open to learning into other industries simultaneously.● Documents the detailed business requirements and functional specifications.● Ensures that requirements align with business goals and regulatory standards.● Helps in identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements in BFSI engagements.● Competent in data analysis and presentation using a variety of software platforms, including Power BI, Excel, Snowflake, etc.● Collaborates with data engineers and architects to define data models and ensure data quality.● Participates in data mapping exercises to understand data flows and relationships.● Develops and maintains data dictionaries and metadata documentation.● Conducts user acceptance testing (UAT) for the projects.Skills Required:● 4+ years of consulting/BA experience, with a focus on data projects● Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft/Google Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint● Competent with JIRA, Microsoft Visio and other project management tools for managing and documenting business needs.● Strong knowledge of Agile methodology, sprint planning, product backlog grooming, story estimations, etc.● Well-developed industry expertise in the property and casualty domain.● Working experience or understanding of local and international regulations in the BFSI sector.● Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.● Experience in data modelling techniques (e.g., relational, dimensional)● Strong understanding of data quality principles and best practices● Ability to lead a team with a sound work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and exceptional client service● Knowledge of data warehousing and data lake concepts● Knowledge of the insurance domain
