You will translate complex business, regulatory, risk, and detection requirements into clear technology requirements and ensure solutions are properly tested, validated, and operationally ready.This role is ideal for a strong Business Analyst with experience in Business Acceptance Testing (BAT), SQL, data analysis, ETL, data mapping, and data lineage, preferably within AML, transaction monitoring, banking, or financial services.Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with business stakeholders to understand, document, and translate business and regulatory requirements into actionable technology requirements.Serve as a key liaison between AML/FCRM business teams, Technology, QA, Data, and Data Governance teams.Support AML Transaction Monitoring and broader Financial Crime Risk Management platform initiatives.Analyze large datasets using SQL to interpret data, identify patterns, validate requirements, and derive meaningful conclusions.Understand and analyze ETL processes, data mapping, data flows, and data lineage.Investigate data-related issues and work with technical teams to identify root causes and appropriate solutions.Develop and execute Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) plans based on business use cases.Work closely with BAT test leads and QA teams to coordinate testing activities and ensure business requirements are adequately validated.Define business test scenarios, test cases, expected outcomes, and acceptance criteria.Support defect identification, triage, tracking, and resolution throughout the testing lifecycle.Use tools such as JIRA and Confluence for requirements, documentation, issue tracking, and project collaboration.Take ownership of small initiatives and act as a single point of contact across multiple teams.Communicate complex technical and data concepts in clear, simple business language.Support implementation and operational readiness of changes across FCRM platforms.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of AML-related initiatives.Must-Have Qualifications5–7 years of Business Analyst experience; exceptional candidates with slightly less experience may be considered.Strong Business Analysis experience with demonstrated Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) experience.Experience working with Data, Technology, QA, and Data Governance teams.Strong hands-on SQL skills with the ability to query, analyze, interpret, and draw conclusions from large datasets.Comfortable working with large and complex datasets.Strong understanding of:ETL processesData mappingData lineageData flowsData validationExperience creating and executing business-focused testing plans and test scenarios.Ability to work closely with BAT/Test Leads and QA teams throughout the testing lifecycle.Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and other Business Analysis/project management tools.Strong understanding of business requirements, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability.Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.Preferred QualificationsPrevious AML / Anti-Money Laundering experience.Experience with AML Transaction Monitoring platforms or projects.Experience with Oracle ECM (Enterprise Case Management).Experience within Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM).Banking or financial services experience.Exposure to regulatory, risk, or financial crime technology initiatives.Soft SkillsStrong ownership and accountability with the ability to independently manage small initiatives.Ability to act as a single point of contact across multiple business and technical teams.Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.Strong verbal and written communication.Ability to explain complex technical, data, and system concepts in straightforward business terms.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a Business Analyst with strong AML/FCRM or banking experience who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams.They should have strong SQL and data analysis capabilities, understand how data moves through systems, and be comfortable working with ETL, data mapping, and data lineage.
