Business Analyst - Data&Analytics or Databricks

Project Description:We are looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst with experience in modern data platforms, particularly Databricks, who can act as a bridge between the business, Data Engineering, BI, and Data Science teams.The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements, defining functional specifications, and ensuring the correct implementation of data solutions.Responsibilities:Business AnalysisGather, analyze, and document business requirements.Organize workshops with business and IT stakeholders.Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.Assess the impact of changes on existing processes and systems.Define business rules, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.Data & DatabricksCollaborate with Data Engineers to design and develop data pipelines in Databricks.Analyze data sources, mappings, and data transformations.Participate in defining data models and the overall information architecture.Understand and document ETL/ELT processes developed in Databricks.Contribute to the definition of data quality rules and operational controls.Ensure data traceability from source to reporting.Testing & ValidationDefine test scenarios and acceptance criteria.Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing).Validate implementation results together with stakeholders.Investigate defects and perform root cause analysis.Mandatory Skills Description:ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.Minimum 2 years of experience in Data & Analytics projects.Experience collaborating with Data Engineering teams.Experience working in Agile environments.Technical SkillsHands-on experience with Databricks.Strong SQL knowledge.Understanding of the following concepts:- Data Lake- Data Warehouse- ETL / ELT- Delta Lake- Data Governance- Data QualityExperience with:- Azure Databricks- Azure Data Factory (nice to have)- Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau (nice to have)- Jira and ConfluenceAnalytical SkillsBusiness process modeling.Data mapping.Gap analysis.Root cause analysis.Functional specifications.User story creation and management.Personal SkillsStrong analytical thinking.Ability to understand complex business and technical processes.Excellent communication skills with both business and technical stakeholders.Results-oriented mindset.Strong attention to detail.Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in dynamic environments.Nice-to-Have Skills Description:Experience in the banking or financial services sector.Knowledge of Retail Banking and/or Corporate Banking products.Experience with Python or PySpark.Understanding of Data Mesh and Data Products concepts.Certifications such as Agile, CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Databricks Fundamentals.
