Business Analyst – Data Analytics (PL/SQL & BI)

Location: Dubai, UAE (Onsite – Client Premises)Salary: AED 10,000 – 13,000 per monthBenefits: Work Visa, Annual Air Tickets, Medical Insurance, Gratuity & Paid Time OffExperience: 3 to 5 yearsWe are seeking a data-focused Business Analyst to support a large-scale data enhancement programme, bridging business stakeholders and engineering teams across data ingestion, transformation, and validation. The role pairs hands-on data analysis and SQL / PL-SQL querying with structured testing of data loads, ensuring the correct tables are processed as specified and that business transformation logic is accurately captured and verified.Key Responsibilities• Validate output files and confirm that the correct source and target tables are processed in line with documented requirements.• Test both historical (full) and incremental data loads, verifying completeness, accuracy, and integrity across runs.• Coordinate with technical and data engineering teams on file transfers, scheduled data jobs, and dependency management.• Engage business stakeholders after ingestion to elicit, define, and document data transformation logic and mapping rules.• Write and run SQL / PL-SQL queries to profile, reconcile, and validate data, and to investigate and triage data issues.• Capture test cases and results, log defects, and support UAT through to sign-off with clear, traceable documentation.Required Skills and Experience• 3 to 5 years of Business Analysis experience with a strong data analysis focus in enterprise data or BI environments.• Hands-on proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for data querying, profiling, reconciliation, and validation.• Practical experience testing data pipelines — historical and incremental loads, ETL / ELT jobs, and file-based data transfers.• Working knowledge of at least one BI / reporting tool (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, OBIEE, or Qlik) for data review and validation.• Ability to translate business needs into clear transformation logic, mapping documents, and test cases, with solid QA discipline.• Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder-communication skills; exposure to logistics, cargo, or transportation data is an advantage.
