Functional Business Analyst – Data Privacy & GovernanceContract (Till Dec 2026)Downtown Montreal, QC ( 3 days onsite)Role OverviewBusiness Analyst supporting the Data Office (CDO function) with a primary focus on Data Privacy & Protection.The role involves implementing and maintaining data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and working closely with business, technology, and risk stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesData Privacy & ComplianceSupport development and maintenance of data privacy policies, procedures, and guidelinesPerform Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA)Maintain data processing inventory (collection, storage, sharing of personal data)Ensure compliance with privacy regulations across business functionsIdentify privacy risks (including third-party/vendor risks) and recommend mitigationsGovernance & Framework ImplementationContribute to Data Office framework execution and governanceEnsure proper documentation, controls, and process adherenceSupport integration of privacy practices across business and technology teamsTraining & AwarenessDeliver privacy training sessionsPromote data privacy awareness and best practicesStakeholder ManagementCollaborate with business, IT, compliance, and data teamsSupport senior management reporting and presentationsMust-Have Requirements5–7+ years experience as a Business AnalystStrong experience in:Data Privacy / Data GovernancePrivacy Impact Assessments (PIA)Data processing / data inventory documentationExperience in regulatory / compliance environmentsStrong skills in:Process analysis & documentationStakeholder managementPowerPoint / Excel (data + presentations)Nice-to-HaveExperience in:Data management / data quality frameworksRisk & controls / auditFinancial services / banking environmentExposure to data lineage, data dictionary, or governance frameworksSoft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving mindsetDetail-oriented and process-drivenAble to work in fast-paced, changing environmentsStrong communication and training capabilityLanguage RequirementFrench: Required
