The Business Analyst coordinates across Finance, operational teams, technology teams, and external consultants or systems integrators to ensure business needs are clearly understood and solutions support the way the organization operates.The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of finance and accounting processes, experience contributing to ERP or business application initiatives, and the ability to bring structure and clarity to complex work. They are comfortable using business applications, validating changes, troubleshooting issues, and helping users adopt new processes and capabilities.This is a business-facing role focused on process improvement, coordination, and solution delivery. It is not a software development, infrastructure, or technical system administration position. External consultants and systems integrators manage most of the technical work associated with Oracle, while this role represents the business needs of Finance and helps ensure changes are understood, tested, and adopted.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesFINANCE BUSINESS ANALYSISSupport Finance leadership in identifying, prioritizing, and implementing process improvements.Gather and document business requirements for projects, application enhancements, and operational initiatives.Facilitate working sessions to define needs, evaluate options, and reach decisions.Translate business objectives into clear requirements and practical recommendations.Assess opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, scalability, and user experience.PROCESS IMPROVEMENT & SOLUTION DELIVERYAnalyze and document current-state and future-state finance processes.Create process flows, business rules, requirements documentation, and acceptance criteria.Evaluate how proposed changes affect Finance and related business teams.Support improvements across accounting, budgeting, forecasting, procurement, reporting, and other finance processes.Identify process gaps, inefficient handoffs, and opportunities for standardization.CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COORDINATIONCoordinate work across Finance, Operations, Sales Operations, Services, IT, and other business teams.Help ensure finance processes and data requirements are integrated with broader business workflows.Work closely with external consultants and systems integrators responsible for the technical delivery of Oracle and other finance application changes.Provide business context, requirements, and decisions to consultants and technical resources, and communicate proposed solutions back to stakeholders.Track decisions, dependencies, risks, and action items related to projects and enhancements.TESTING, TROUBLESHOOTING & USER ADOPTIONEvaluate and validate business application changes and enhancements before release.Coordinate user acceptance testing and business validation activities.Develop test scenarios, test scripts, expected results, and acceptance criteria.Investigate user-reported issues by gathering business context, collecting relevant error details or logs, and documenting repeatable steps.Work with consultants, systems integrators, vendors, and internal technical teams to support issue resolution.Maintain appropriate business-owned settings and reference information within finance applications, in coordination with the teams responsible for technical configuration and administration.Develop process documentation, user guides, and training materials.Deliver training and support users as new processes and functionality are introduced.Travel ExpectationsOccasional, pre-planned travel may be required for meetings, training, or company events.Education & ExperienceMinimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Finance Analyst, ERP Analyst, or similar role.Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes.Experience gathering requirements, documenting processes, and supporting business initiatives.Experience working across multiple departments and stakeholder groups.Strong communication, facilitation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Desired ExperienceExperience supporting ERP implementation, enhancement, or business transformation initiatives.Experience working directly with finance and accounting teams.Experience with Oracle Fusion, Oracle Financials, or a comparable enterprise ERP platform.Experience working with external consultants, implementation partners, or systems integrators.Experience coordinating user acceptance testing and business validation.Experience creating training materials and delivering end-user training.Experience troubleshooting business application issues and coordinating resolution efforts.Experience in a technology services, reseller, distribution, or professional services environment.Skills & AbilitiesBusiness Analysis & Process Improvement -
