Business Analyst / Junior Business Analyst (Entry / Junior Level)Role Description We are seeking an analytical, structured, and detail-driven Business Analyst / Junior Business Analyst to evaluate internal business processes, gather functional requirements, and bridge the gap between operational teams and technical solutions. In this entry-to-junior level role, you will work closely with Business Unit Heads, Project Managers, Systems Architects, and Quality Assurance leads to document current-state workflows and support target-state system enhancements. You will be responsible for conducting stakeholder interviews, drafting functional specification documents, mapping process flows, and validating that delivered solutions align with operational requirements. Responsibilities include running gap analyses, facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), tracking project milestones, and creating standardized user documentation. Success in this position requires sharp diagnostic thinking, clear commercial awareness, strong technical writing skills, proficiency with process mapping tools and spreadsheets, and a collaborative approach to change management.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field; foundational certifications (e.g., ECBA or PMI-PBA) are an advantage.Requirements Elicitation & Analysis: Understanding of requirements gathering techniques, including stakeholder interviews, process observation, user stories, and functional requirement documentation.Process Mapping & Diagramming: Working knowledge of business process mapping frameworks and tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, or Bizagi) using standard notation (e.g., BPMN or flowcharts).Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall) and the end-to-end project lifecycle.User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Ability to draft test scenarios, generate UAT scripts, log bug defects, and coordinate user testing phases prior to system deployment.Data Modeling & Spreadsheets: Intermediate-to-advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, and logic modeling) for quantitative process modeling and gap analysis.SQL & Data Querying (Advantage): Exposure to SQL for querying databases, verifying backend data inputs, and conducting preliminary data validation.Change Management & Documentation: Strong technical writing skills to produce user manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), training guides, and functional design documents.Stakeholder Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills to facilitate workshops, articulate technical concepts to operational teams, and manage project expectations.Professional Attributes: High organizational ability, critical problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude towards process optimization.
