Business Analyst Lead/Manager – Finance Transformation Project (Consultants Preferred)

A well-established insurance group is looking for an experienced Business Analyst Lead to join the Finance transformation team. This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal part in driving key finance system projects, bridging business needs with technical solutions, and ensuring smooth collaboration across Finance, IT, and Operations. The successful candidate will lead project deliverables while contributing to impactful transformation initiatives in a dynamic and regulated insurance environment.

Job Responsibilities

Lead and drive the full lifecycle of finance system implementation and transformation projects, covering requirements gathering, solution design, system integration, and successful deployment for key modules including premium collection, AML controls, reconciliation, and reporting.Review and refine business needs to ensure they are well-defined and aligned with technical solutions and business goals.Prepare and maintain essential project documentation, including requirements, functional designs, and process mappings.Define and manage all critical project documentation, including user requirements specifications (URS), functional specifications, and process flows, while ensuring alignment and buy-in across stakeholders.Plan and lead System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including development of test strategies, test case reviews, defect management, and overall testing progress monitoring.Act as the main point of contact and coordinator across Finance, IT, and Operations teams to drive collaboration and resolve project challenges.Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies proactively to support timely and successful outcomes.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline.Minimum 5 years of solid experience in business analysis and project management, with proven success leading finance system implementation or transformation projects.Practical knowledge of the full project lifecycle, including requirements, design, testing, and deployment phases.Good understanding of financial processes and accounting concepts; familiarity with common financial systems is beneficial.Experience in the insurance or regulated financial services sector is an advantage.Strong interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills with the ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders.
