Business Analyst with 12 years Airline domain experience

This role will partner with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and development teams to define business capabilities, drive requirements elicitation, and deliver innovative solutions that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and revenue generation.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Stakeholder Management

• Lead large-scale business analysis activities for airline transformation programs and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, operations teams, product managers, and technology teams to define business objectives and solution requirements.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and process mapping exercises.
• Translate complex business needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business and technology teams.Airline Domain Expertise
• Provide subject matter expertise across airline business functions including:o Reservationso Inventory Managemento Ticketingo Fare Management & Pricingo Loyalty Programso Ancillary Serviceso Departure Control Systems (DCS)o Airport Operationso Schedule Managemento Revenue Managemento Interline and Codeshare Operations
• Analyze impacts of business changes across airline operational and customer-facing systems.Product & Solution Definition
• Develop business requirements documents, use cases, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Define future-state processes and capability roadmaps.
• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to design scalable solutions.
• Support API, cloud, and digital transformation initiatives.Program Delivery Support
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support backlog management.
• Review functional designs and validate solution alignment with business objectives.
• Support UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution.
• Drive traceability from requirements through implementation.Strategic Leadership
• Mentor junior and senior business analysts.
• Establish best practices, standards, and governance for requirements management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across business processes and technology solutions.
• Provide thought leadership on emerging airline industry trends and technologies.________________________________________Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Aviation Management, or related field.
• 18+ years of Business Analysis experience.
• 12+ years of Airline or Travel Industry experience.
• Proven experience working with airline Passenger Service Systems (PSS).
• Strong knowledge of:o Reservationso Inventoryo Ticketingo Departure Control Systems (DCS)o Loyalty Programso Airport Operations
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, process flows, use cases, and user stories.________________________________________Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Sabre, Amadeus, Navitaire, or other airline platforms.
• Exposure to TPF/Mainframe environments and airline host systems.
• Experience with NDC, ONE Order, and airline distribution technologies.
• Knowledge of IATA standards and airline industry regulations.
• Experience in cloud transformation programs (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Certification such as:o CBAPo PMI-PBAo SAFe Business Analysto Agile Certifications
