Business Controls AnalystPalomba General Trading LLCAbu Dhabi, United Arab EmiratesFull-time | On-siteAbout Palomba General Trading LLCPalomba General Trading LLC is an international trading and business-development company headquartered in Dubai and operating across the GCC, Europe and selected international markets.Our portfolio includes natural ingredients, botanical extracts, flavour systems, essential oils and specialised raw materials serving customers in the food, beverage, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and fragrance industries.We are seeking a Business Controls Analyst to support internal controls, operational risk management and business-process governance across our international activities.The RoleThe Business Controls Analyst will work across Finance, Commercial, Procurement and Operations to review business processes, identify control gaps and support practical improvements to internal procedures.The position combines analytical thinking, process understanding and risk awareness.Key ResponsibilitiesReview commercial and operational business processes.Support development and maintenance of internal controls.Identify process, financial and operational control gaps.Assess risks associated with recurring business activities.Document controls, responsibilities and approval procedures.Support implementation of corrective actions.Monitor compliance with internal procedures.Review selected purchasing, sales and payment processes.Analyse exceptions and recurring control issues.Maintain structured records of control assessments.Support preparation of internal-control reports for management.Coordinate follow-up actions with relevant departments.Review segregation of duties and approval workflows.Support improvements to ERP and internal-system controls.Assist with periodic control testing.Support documentation of policies and procedures.Coordinate with Finance, Commercial, Procurement and Operations teams.Assist management with ad hoc risk and control reviews.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline.2–5 years of relevant experience in internal controls, audit, risk management, finance or business operations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good understanding of business processes and internal controls.Strong attention to detail.Good Microsoft Excel skills.Strong written and verbal communication abilities.Excellent written and spoken English.Ability to work across multiple business functions.Experience with ERP systems is advantageous.Preferred ExperienceExperience in one or more of the following will be considered an advantage:Internal controlsInternal auditOperational riskInternational tradingB2B distributionFinance operationsSupply chainFMCGPharmaceuticalsSpecialty chemicalsKnowledge of COSO, risk-control matrices or similar internal-control frameworks is advantageous but not mandatory.Arabic is useful but not mandatory.Compensation & BenefitsAED 16,000 – 21,000 per month, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.The compensation package may also include:Annual performance bonusPrivate medical insurancePaid annual leaveAnnual flight allowanceProfessional development opportunitiesEmployment and visa support where legally applicableWhat We OfferInternational and multicultural working environment.Exposure to multiple business functions.Direct collaboration with Finance and management.Participation in business-control and process-improvement initiatives.Exposure to GCC and international operations.Professional development opportunities.Career progression toward Senior Business Controls Analyst, Internal Controls Manager or Risk & Controls Manager.ApplicationCandidates should submit an updated CV in English outlining relevant experience in:internal controls;audit or risk management;business-process reviews;financial or operational controls;ERP or reporting systems.Applicants should also indicate:Current locationNotice periodEarliest availabilityExpected salaryOnly candidates whose professional experience is reasonably aligned with the position will be contacted.Palomba General Trading LLC evaluates candidates according to professional experience, skills and qualifications.
