Business Data Analyst – Data GovernanceDuration: 12 months (extension and conversion possible)Location: Hybrid – Toronto (4 days onsite)$40-45/hrOverviewOur client is seeking Business Analysts to support a large-scale regulatory data management initiative. Working within a collaborative project team, you will help strengthen enterprise data governance by supporting data retention, disposition, and compliance activities. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in governance, data analysis, and project coordination within a structured environment.ResponsibilitiesSupport data governance and data management initiatives.Assist with data retention and disposition remediation activities.Analyze, document, and maintain data management requirements, processes, and procedures.Identify, inventory, and catalogue data assets.Perform data analysis, manual data disposition activities, and evidence collection.Track project timelines, identify risks and issues, and support project documentation.Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.Required Qualifications2–4 years of Business Analyst experience.Experience with data governance and/or data management initiatives.Strong Confluence experience.Experience supporting project timelines, risk identification, and project documentation.Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Nice to HaveFinancial services or banking experience.Knowledge of data management controls, compliance, and regulatory data requirements.Note: We use AI tools to: obtain basic information, detect plagiarism, false employment history or references, categorize your skills, and do an initial match with job posting.
