Business Development Director (Global KOL Growth) – Crypto ExchangeRole OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Business Development Director (KOL) to lead our global influencer and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) strategy across the Web3 and crypto ecosystem. This role is responsible for building and scaling overseas KOL channels, leading a high-performing BD team, and driving global user acquisition and trading growth through strategic influencer partnerships.Key ResponsibilitiesGlobal KOL Channel Strategy & ExpansionIdentify, onboard, and manage top and mid-tier blockchain, finance, and trading KOLs, influencers, and community leaders across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Europe, and North AmericaBuild and continuously expand a high-quality global KOL and influencer networkDevelop a scalable, high-conversion overseas KOL partnership ecosystemTeam Leadership & Performance ManagementBuild, lead, and scale the KOL Business Development teamDefine annual, quarterly, and monthly KPIs aligned with growth, acquisition, and conversion targetsEstablish clear SOPs, workflows, performance frameworks, and training systemsDrive team execution, monitor progress, and continuously improve efficiency and output qualityCampaign Strategy & ExecutionDesign and execute tailored overseas KOL marketing strategies based on product positioning, market trends, and regional audience behaviorLead collaborations across live streaming, content campaigns, community activations, and integrated marketing initiativesEnsure all KOL content and campaigns align with brand positioning and compliance requirementsOversee end-to-end execution including content approval, publishing, and campaign performance trackingData-Driven OptimizationTrack and analyze key performance metrics including KOL traffic, engagement, user acquisition, registrations, and trading conversionEvaluate campaign ROI and optimize budget allocation and partnership strategiesConduct regular performance reviews and competitor analysis to refine KOL strategies and improve conversion efficiencyRelationship Management & Strategic PartnershipsBuild long-term strategic relationships with key KOLs, influencers, and media partnersDevelop exclusive partnerships with top-tier influencers and create benchmark campaignsCollaborate with internal marketing, operations, and compliance teams to execute large-scale global campaignsStrengthen brand presence and market penetration across international marketsMarket Intelligence & Compliance OversightMonitor global crypto regulations, regional policies, and industry trends affecting influencer marketingEnsure all KOL activities comply with regulatory and internal compliance standardsProvide regular market insights and strategic recommendations to support global expansion decisionsRequirementsExperienceBachelor’s degree or aboveMinimum 5+ years of experience in overseas KOL BD, influencer marketing, or growth roles within Web3 / crypto / blockchain industryAt least 3+ years of experience in team leadership or management roles (Director or Head)Prior experience in top-tier crypto exchanges or leading Web3 financial platforms strongly preferredNetwork & Execution CapabilityStrong global network of KOLs, influencers, communities, and media partnersDeep understanding of regional influencer ecosystems, pricing models, and collaboration structuresProven ability to scale KOL programs from scratch and deliver measurable growth impactLanguage & CommunicationFluent in English (written and spoken), with the ability to independently handle international negotiations and business communicationsStrong familiarity with major social and content platforms including TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), and TelegramCore CompetenciesStrong business negotiation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination skillsHighly data-driven with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategiesResults-oriented, resilient under pressure, and comfortable operating in fast-paced global environmentsStrong cross-cultural communication and global mindsetProfessional StandardsStrong understanding of crypto industry compliance and risk control requirementsHigh level of integrity, ownership, and accountabilityStrong collaboration mindset with ability to work effectively across distributed global teams
