Apply & track with Apply EdgeAbout Tendon Innovations LimitedTendon Innovations Limited is a Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC)-licensed electricity trading company developing reliable and commercially sustainable power-supply solutions for industrial and commercial customers.The Company works with generation companies, electricity distribution companies, transmission and market operators, regulators, independent distribution networks and other market participants to structure electricity transactions for eligible and qualified customers.Tendon’s objective is to improve electricity reliability, reduce dependence on expensive self-generation and support industrial productivity through well-structured power-supply arrangements.Role SummaryWe are seeking a commercially driven and technically knowledgeable Business Development Executive to identify, develop and convert electricity-supply opportunities with industrial and large commercial customers.The successful candidate should understand the fundamentals of industrial electricity supply and be able to engage confidently with business owners, engineering teams, facility managers and senior decision-makers.This is a field-oriented role requiring regular prospecting, industrial-site visits, disciplined follow-up and frequent travel across Lagos and other South-West states.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and prospect industrial and commercial customers requiring improved electricity supply.Build and manage a structured pipeline from initial contact through commercial activation.Conduct regular customer meetings and industrial-site visits.Engage business owners, engineering teams, facility managers and other relevant decision-makers.Gather essential customer information, including electricity demand, connected load, peak demand, operating hours, existing supply arrangements, feeder connection, transformer capacity and self-generation costs.Prepare proposals, presentations, commercial offers and customer-engagement materials.Support the structuring and execution of power purchase agreements and related commercial arrangements.Coordinate the commercial, technical and regulatory requirements for customer onboarding.Maintain accurate records of prospects, meetings, follow-ups, documentation and transaction progress.Monitor developments within Nigeria’s electricity market and identify new commercial opportunities.Submit regular activity, pipeline and performance reports to management.Represent Tendon professionally at meetings, site visits and relevant industry engagements.Required Experience and CompetenciesProven practical experience in technical sales, business development, key-account management or a related commercial role within the electricity, renewable-energy, metering, electrical-equipment, generator, transformer, EPC or industrial-power sector.Working knowledge of industrial electricity concepts such as MW/kW demand, feeders, substations, transformers, load profiles and grid-supply arrangements.Demonstrated ability to originate leads, build sales pipelines and develop B2B customer relationships.Ability to engage confidently with technical personnel and senior business decision-makers.Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and negotiation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, basic data analysis and business reporting.Willingness to travel frequently for industrial-site visits across the South-West.Ability to work independently within a young, execution-focused company.Strong ethical standards, commercial judgement, initiative and follow-through.Practical competence, relevant industry experience and demonstrated commercial ability will be prioritised over academic qualifications.What We OfferCompetitive monthly compensation.Approved business travel and field expenses covered by the Company.Performance-based incentives for successfully activated customers.Opportunity to contribute directly to the growth of a licensed electricity-trading company.Interested candidates should apply through LinkedIn and submit an up-to-date CV highlighting relevant technical-sales, power-sector and business-development experience.
