Hiring: Business Development (Intern/ Executive) (VCFO Consulting Practice) | MumbaiAt Plan B Consultancy, our VCFO practice sits at the intersection of finance and decision-making. Wedon’t just work with numbers. We work with founders - understanding how they think, where theystruggle, and how their businesses can be structured better. We are looking for a Business Development (Intern/ Executive) who wants early exposure to that world. This is not a backend role. This is a front-row seat tohow consulting actually works.What this role really is:• You will be one of the first points of interaction between the firm and potential clients.• Before any engagement begins, you help answer a critical question:• Is this business ready for consulting, and are we the right fit?• You will speak with founders, understand their businesses, and bring structure to thoseconversations.What you will be doing:• Interacting with founders and business owners to understand their business model and challenges• Asking structured diagnostic questions (training provided)• Assessing client fit and readiness for VCFO consulting• Identifying early red flags or misalignment• Preparing clear summaries for senior consultants• Coordinating meetings and ensuring seriousness of discussions• Maintaining professional follow-ups and communication• Updating CRM with structured notes and tracking interaction outcomesWhat you will learn and why this role stands out:• How founders think and make decisions• How consulting firms evaluate businesses before taking them on• How finance connects with operations, sales, and growth• How VCFO and advisory engagements are structured• How real client conversations happen in professional services• This role is designed as an entry point into consulting, VCFO, and strategic advisory careers.Who this works for:• 0–2 years of experience (freshers welcome)• BCom / BBA / CA Inter / MBA aspirantsSomeone who is:• Curious about how businesses actually run• Comfortable speaking with founders• Strong in communication, especially spoken English• Logical, structured, and disciplined in thinkingWhy this role matters:You won’t just learn finance.
