Kloza is building the infrastructure for cross-border trade in Africa. We connect African suppliers with buyers across the continent, making it easier for businesses to source authentic products across borders. We're currently expanding our Nigeria–Kenya trade corridor and are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to help grow our wholesale customer base in Kenya.Role overviewAs Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be generating sales by acquiring wholesale buyers and business customers across Kenya.You'll identify and build relationships with retailers, fabric stores, fashion designers, beauty retailers, salons, hotels, gift shops, interior décor businesses, and other businesses interested in sourcing products through KlozaThis is a highly commercial role focused on revenue growth, customer acquisition, and long-term partnershipsResponsibilities Identify and acquire new wholesale customers across Kenya.Build relationships with retailers, boutiques, fashion designers, salons, and other B2B buyers.Generate and manage a healthy sales pipeline.Conduct outreach through calls, emails, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, networking events, and in-person meetings.Present Kloza's cross-border sourcing solution to prospective customers.Convert leads into paying customers and maintain strong client relationships.Gather market feedback and customer insights to improve Kloza's offeringProducts You'll SellAfrican fabrics (Adire, Aso Oke, Ankara, Kente and more)Hair & beauty productsHome & lifestyle productsFragrances & diffusersOther products available through KlozaRequirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.2–3 years of experience in business development, B2B sales, account management, or wholesale sales.Proven ability to generate new business and close deals.Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working independently.Existing network within Kenya's retail, fashion, beauty, hospitality, or wholesale sectors is an advantageSuccess MetricsYou will be measured on:Wholesale customers acquiredMonthly sales revenueNumber of qualified business meetingsCustomer retention and repeat ordersPipeline growth and conversion rateWhat we're looking forWe're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, opening new markets, and helping businesses grow.
