The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue growth in the oil and gas/EPC sector. With minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience, the candidate will play a key role in expanding Stat-Marine’s market presence and securing high-value contracts.Stat-Marine Nigeria Limited is a global leader in providing technical consultancy, engineering, inspection and training services to the offshore oil and gas industry in Nigeria.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and potential clients in the oil and gas/EPC industry in Nigeria.Follow up on opportunities identified and win new business in the oil and gas sector in Nigeria.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including oil and gas operators, EPC contractors, and government agencies.Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve revenue targets and expand Stat-Marine’s market share.Lead the preparation and submission of bids, proposals, and pre-qualification documents for EPC and oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and local regulations.Represent Stat-Marine at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the company’s services and enhance brand visibility.Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure profitable projects while ensuring alignment with company objectives.Work closely with project management, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.Ensure adherence to Nigeria’s local content regulations and promote partnerships with local vendors and communities.Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and market insights to senior management.Educational Qualifications, Experience, and SkillsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.10-15 years of experience in business development, sales, or client management within the oil and gas or EPC industry in Nigeria.Strong understanding of the Nigerian oil and gas sector, including upstream, midstream, and downstream operations, as well as EPC project execution.Familiarity with bid preparation, tendering processes, and contract negotiation in the oil and gas/EPC industry.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.Knowledge of Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) guidelines and local content requirements.The BD Manager will focus on developing the Training and Engineering segment of the business.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.Key CompetenciesStrategic thinking and problem-solving.Strong network within the Nigerian oil and gas industry.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Results-oriented with a focus on achieving sale targets.Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic industry environment.
