Business Development Manager

We're looking for a process-oriented Business Development Manager to drive growth, build partnerships, and help scale our business using smart systems and AI.Why this role matters:
We’re building a platform for local artists, musicians, home chefs, storytellers and homegrown businesses to showcase their talent, share their stories and create sustainable livelihood opportunities through tourism.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive B2B and B2C business development and achieve revenue targets.Build partnerships with corporates, hotels, travel companies, educational institutions, and event organizers.Generate leads, manage the sales pipeline, and maintain CRM records.Create and improve sales processes, SOPs, and business workflows.Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Notion etc.) for research, outreach, proposals, reporting, and productivity.Prepare proposals, negotiate partnerships, and build long-term client relationships.Work closely with marketing and operations to deliver exceptional customer experiences.What We're Looking For2–3 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Partnerships, or Account Management.Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Experience using CRM systems and managing sales pipelines.Process-oriented with excellent organizational skills.Basic knowledge of AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Notion etc) and a willingness to use them to improve productivity.Self-motivated, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Bonus if you have experience in travel, hospitality, tourism, or events.What We OfferCompetitive salary with performance incentives.Opportunity to build and scale new business verticals.Collaborative and entrepreneurial work environment.Career growth and exposure to AI-enabled business operations.How to ApplyEmail your resume along with a short note covering to info@makeithappen.co.inA business development achievement you're proud of.How you've used AI to improve your work.A process or system you've implemented that made a measurable impact.
