Comin Asia has been a member of the RMA Group since 2010, and through RMA's regional footprint benefits from a presence across 17 countries and a combined workforce of over 9,000 people.Position Title: Business Development ManagerLocation: Phnom Penh, Cambodia (domestic travel to project sites and client locations as required)Role OverviewThe Business Development Manager is responsible for driving commercial growth for Comin Khmere across the Cambodian market. Working closely with the COO and the leaders of Comin's technical divisions (Power, Clean Energy, Trading, and Service/Facilities), the role will identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities, strengthen relationships with key developers, consultants, contractors and end-clients, and help position Comin Khmere as the contractor and partner of choice for M&E and EPC solutions in Cambodia.This is a highly visible, client-facing role suited to a commercially minded professional who understands the Cambodian construction, infrastructure and energy landscape and can build trusted relationships that convert into sustainable, profitable revenue.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Market GrowthIdentify, research, and develop new business opportunities across target sectors, including commercial and residential construction, hospitality, healthcare, education, retail, industrial facilities, data centres, and power and energy infrastructure.Build, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely progression of opportunities.Monitor market trends, upcoming developments, tenders, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities.Contribute to the development and execution of business development strategies to support revenue growth and market expansion.Client Relationship ManagementEstablish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including property developers, architects, consulting engineers, contractors, industrial clients, and other decision-makers.Serve as a trusted advisor to prospective and existing clients by understanding their technical and commercial requirements and recommending suitable solutions.Represent the company at industry events, business forums, trade associations, and networking activities to strengthen market presence and expand professional networks.Tendering, Proposal Management & Commercial NegotiationLead or support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with engineering, estimating, and project delivery teams.Coordinate the end-to-end tendering and bidding process, ensuring submissions are accurate, competitive, and completed within deadlines.Negotiate commercial terms and contractual agreements in line with company policies, profitability objectives, and risk management guidelines.Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategic SupportWork closely with internal business units to identify cross-selling opportunities and deliver integrated solutions to clients.Provide regular market intelligence, customer insights, and business opportunity updates to senior management to support strategic decision-making.Support marketing and brand-building initiatives through client success stories, case studies, presentations, and promotional materials.Reporting & Performance ManagementMaintain accurate records of business development activities, pipeline status, opportunity values, and conversion rates using CRM and reporting systems.Prepare regular reports and forecasts on pipeline performance, market trends, business opportunities, and win/loss analysis.Track progress against business development objectives and contribute to annual revenue targets and growth plans.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; an engineering background is an advantage given the technical nature of Comin Khmere's offering.Minimum 5–8 years' experience in a business development, sales or key account management role, ideally within M&E, EPC, construction, engineering, energy, or a related technical/infrastructure sector.Demonstrated track record of building pipeline and closing deals within the Cambodian market.Existing network of relationships with developers, consultants, contractors and/or industrial and hospitality end-clients in Cambodia is highly advantageous.Experience managing formal tender/proposal processes for technical or construction-related projects.Skills & AttributesStrong commercial acumen with the ability to understand technical M&E/EPC solutions well enough to sell them credibly.Excellent relationship-building, negotiation and communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders (developers, C-suite clients, consultants).Self-starter who can work independently to build pipeline, balanced with strong collaboration skills to work across technical divisions.Well organised, with strong reporting discipline and comfort using CRM and forecasting tools.High level of integrity and professionalism, reflecting Comin Khmere's values of safety, sustainability and operational excellence.Fluent in English (spoken and written) and Khmere language skills are a strong plus.Valid Cambodian driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites and project locations across Cambodia.Comin Khmere delivers full project lifecycle solutions — design & engineering, procurement & logistics, installation, testing & commissioning, and operations & maintenance/facilities services — across the Built Environment, Energy and Mobility sectors.
