The Business Development Manager will identify new business opportunities, build and manage relationships with prospective and existing clients, and develop strategies to increase revenue and market presence. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market research, preparing and delivering proposals and presentations, negotiating commercial terms, and managing the sales pipeline from lead generation through closing. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to align offerings with client needs, tracking performance against targets, and preparing regular reports and forecasts for leadership. The Business Development Manager is expected to represent the company professionally in meetings, events, and networking activities.QualificationsDemonstrated experience in business development, sales, or account management with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.Strong skills in client relationship management, negotiation, and presentation, with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.Ability to conduct market and competitor research, analyze data, and translate insights into practical business strategies.Proficiency with CRM software and common business tools (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Workspace) for pipeline management and reporting.Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines simultaneously.Comfort working on-site and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience in the local Hoppers Crossing or wider VIC market and a valid work authorization for Australia are highly desirable.
