This full-time, hybrid position is based in Sydney, NSW, with flexibility for some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and qualifying new business opportunities and developing strategic partnerships with architects, developers, facility managers, and other stakeholders. The role involves preparing and delivering proposals and bids, collaborating with internal teams to scope and price projects, and maintaining an accurate pipeline and sales forecast. The Business Development Manager will also conduct market research, attend industry events, represent Volmac Group in client meetings, and support marketing initiatives to strengthen the company’s brand and market presence.Qualifications Strong business development, sales, and account management skills, with experience growing revenue and managing a pipeline in construction or related industries.Solid stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities, including negotiation, presentation, and client communication skills.Understanding of commercial building projects and services (e.g., electrical, mechanical, plumbing), with the ability to interpret project requirements and collaborate with technical teams.Competence in market analysis, opportunity assessment, and strategic planning to support long-term business growth.Proficiency with CRM tools and basic office software to manage leads, track activities, and report on performance.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple opportunities and meet deadlines.Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and alignment with a client-first, quality-driven culture.Previous experience in commercial construction, building services, or a B2B professional services environment in Australia is highly beneficial.
