Business Development Manager – Customs & DutyUnited Arab EmiratesCommercial | Ports, Logistics & Supply ChainAbout the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join an established UAE-based organisation operating within the ports, logistics and supply chain sector.The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing customer relationships and generating sustainable commercial revenue through innovative Customs, Duty, bonded warehousing and integrated logistics solutions.This is a commercial business development role, not primarily a customs administration position. We are looking for someone who combines strong sales and business development capabilities with practical expertise in UAE Customs and Duty regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and secure new business opportunities across ports, logistics, warehousing, customs-related services and regional distribution.Develop and maintain a strong customer pipeline across FMCG, automotive/RoRo, freight forwarding, 3PL and import/export sectors.Build relationships with importers, exporters, distributors, shipping lines and logistics providers.Develop commercially attractive solutions involving customs clearance, duty management, bonded warehousing, storage and onward distribution.Prepare commercial proposals, pricing models and business cases, and negotiate customer contracts.Identify opportunities to develop new logistics products, revenue streams and strategic partnerships.Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure commercially viable and compliant customer solutions.Candidate RequirementsMinimum 7 years of experience in business development, commercial, customs, freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain.Strong practical knowledge of UAE Customs and Duty regulations, including import, export and re-export processes.Proven track record of developing new business, acquiring customers and generating revenue.Experience in FMCG, automotive/RoRo, freight forwarding, 3PL, shipping, ports or bonded logistics.Strong customer relationships and an established network within the UAE logistics and trading sectors.Excellent negotiation, communication and commercial skills.Ability to develop financial and commercial business cases.Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade or a related discipline preferred.Strong written and spoken English; Arabic would be an advantage.What We OfferAn opportunity to contribute to the development of new commercial revenue streams within an established UAE-based organisation.A competitive compensation package, including a fixed salary and a performance-based incentive component linked to agreed commercial targets.How to ApplyInterested candidates are invited to apply through LinkedIn with an updated CV highlighting their relevant commercial experience, Customs and Duty expertise, and track record of securing new business.All applications will be handled confidentially.
