Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe Business Development & Sales Manager is responsible for leading the expansion and commercialization of MicroPort MedBot's robotic surgery platform in Hong Kong. This role goes beyond traditional sales management and will be instrumental in establishing and accelerating MedBot's presence in the market.The successful candidate will identify growth opportunities, develop market access strategies, manage distributor partnerships, build relationships with key healthcare stakeholders, and drive adoption of robotic surgery solutions across Hong Kong. As an entrepreneurial business builder, the role will work closely with headquarters and cross-functional teams to support market development, customer acquisition, and sustainable business growth. Job SummaryBusiness Development & Market ExpansionDevelop and execute a strategic business development plan to establish and expand MedBot's presence in Hong Kong.Identify and prioritize target hospitals, healthcare systems, and strategic accounts for robotic surgery adoption.Assess market opportunities, competitive landscape, customer needs, and healthcare trends to support long-term growth.Support the development and execution of market entry, expansion, and commercialization strategies.Distributor & Channel ManagementManage and develop distributor relationships to achieve business objectives and market growth targets.Drive distributor capability development through regular training, performance reviews, and strategic planning.Establish clear business plans, sales targets, and performance expectations with channel partners.Ensure distributor compliance with company policies, quality standards, and business processes.Sales & Account ManagementLead the full commercial cycle from opportunity identification, customer engagement, and proposal development to contract negotiation and closure.Drive sales performance and market share growth for MedBot robotic systems and related services.Develop strategic account plans for key healthcare institutions and robotic surgery programs.Build long-term relationships with hospital management, procurement teams, surgeons, and clinical stakeholders.Stakeholder & KOL EngagementEstablish strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), robotic surgeons, professional societies, and healthcare decision-makers.Support clinical workshops, educational programs, customer visits, and scientific events.Identify opportunities to establish reference centers and Centers of Excellence within Hong Kong.Product Launch & Commercial ExcellenceCollaborate with Marketing, Clinical Affairs, and Training teams to execute successful product launches and market development initiatives.Collect and communicate market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insights to headquarters.Support commercial adoption of new products, software upgrades, and future portfolio expansion.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Service, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless customer experience.Support product registration, market access, and commercialization readiness activities as required.Act as the key local commercial interface between Hong Kong stakeholders and MicroPort headquarters. QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree or above in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Management, or related disciplines.MBA or advanced degree is preferred.ExperienceMinimum 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial management within the medical device or healthcare industry.Experience in capital medical equipment, surgical technologies, robotics, imaging systems, or advanced medical devices is highly preferred.Demonstrated experience in market development, distributor management, and strategic account management.Proven track record of introducing new technologies, business lines, or products into the Hong Kong healthcare market.Strong understanding of Hong Kong's healthcare landscape, hospital procurement processes, and stakeholder environment.LanguageFluent Mandarin and English (written and spoken) are required.TravelWillingness to travel frequently occasionally across the APAC region as required.
