Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole PurposeThe Business Development Specialist is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating qualified leads, building relationships with potential clients, and supporting the conversion of opportunities into signed projects and long-term accounts.The role works closely with the Business Director, Strategy, Client Service, and Creative teams to ensure that commercial opportunities are properly qualified, developed, presented, and followed through until closure.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Lead GenerationIdentify and approach potential clients across priority sectors.Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified business opportunities.Conduct market research to identify emerging sectors, companies, projects, and decision-makers.Generate leads through networking, referrals, LinkedIn, industry events, databases, and direct outreach.Maintain regular communication with prospects and develop relationships with key decision-makers.Opportunity QualificationUnderstand prospective clients' businesses, challenges, objectives, budgets, and timelines.Conduct initial discovery meetings and qualify opportunities before involving internal teams.Evaluate opportunities based on strategic fit, commercial potential, probability of winning, and required resources.Ensure opportunities are correctly documented and updated in the CRM.Proposal & Pitch SupportCoordinate internally to develop proposals, credentials, case studies, and presentations.Prepare commercial proposals in coordination with the Business Director and Finance team.Support preparation for pitches and client presentations.Ensure proposals are submitted accurately and within agreed timelines.Follow up with clients after proposal submission and coordinate required revisions.Relationship ManagementDevelop strong relationships with prospective clients and industry stakeholders.Maintain regular contact with prospects throughout the sales cycle.Identify opportunities to convert one-time projects into longer-term relationships or retainers.Support account expansion and cross-selling opportunities with existing clients.Commercial CoordinationSupport commercial negotiations under the direction of the Business Director.Coordinate client requirements related to scope, pricing, timelines, and contracting.Follow opportunities through contracting and handover to the Client Service team.Ensure a smooth transition from business development to project delivery.Reporting & CRM ManagementMaintain accurate and updated records of leads, opportunities, contacts, meetings, proposals, and follow-ups.Prepare weekly pipeline reports highlighting:New leadsQualified opportunitiesProposal statusExpected revenueProbability of closureNext actionsKey risks or blockersTrack performance against business development targets.Key Performance IndicatorsNumber of qualified leads generated.Qualified pipeline value.Number and value of proposals submitted.Lead-to-opportunity conversion rate.Proposal-to-win conversion rate.New client revenue generated.Number of new client meetings secured.Average sales cycle duration.CRM data accuracy and pipeline discipline.Achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual business development targets.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.2–5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Client Acquisition, or Account Management.Experience within a creative agency, branding, marketing, communications, digital, consulting, or professional services environment is preferred.Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.Good commercial awareness and ability to understand client requirements.Strong follow-up and organizational skills.Comfortable working with CRM and pipeline management systems.Strong English and Arabic communication skills.Key CompetenciesCommercial mindsetRelationship buildingProspecting and networkingNegotiationCommunication and presentationClient understandingPersistence and follow-upOrganization and pipeline managementResults orientationCollaborationReporting LineReports to: Business DirectorStart Date:02/09/2026End Date: 10/09/2026
