Our ClientA leading organization is looking for an experienced Director – Market Operations & Facilities Management to lead the development, launch and operations of a large-scale retail and wholesale market destination in Saudi Arabia.Role OverviewYou will lead the market from pre-opening and commercial development through full operations, with responsibility for building the operating model, developing the business plan, establishing the team and driving long-term commercial performance.The role combines market operations, commercial and leasing, asset and facilities management, logistics and financial performance, with a longer-term focus on supporting the development and expansion of similar market destinations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the pre-opening, mobilization and ongoing operations of a large-scale retail, wholesale and fresh-food market, including development of the operating model, business plan, team structure and SOPs.Drive commercial performance through tenant/trader mix, leasing, occupancy, rental income, ancillary revenues and strong tenant relationships.Own the annual business plan, budget and P&L, with accountability for revenue, profitability, OPEX and overall asset performance.Oversee day-to-day market operations including traders, customer experience, loading and unloading, vehicle movement, storage, security, cleaning and waste management.Lead asset and facilities management across MEP, preventive and corrective maintenance, utilities, service providers, parking and lifecycle planning.Oversee logistics, warehousing and cold-chain operations while ensuring compliance with food safety, HSE and relevant regulatory requirements.Build strong relationships with government authorities, tenants, traders, suppliers, logistics partners and other key stakeholders.Support the development and expansion of future market destinations, establishing a scalable operating and commercial model.Candidate Profile15+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.Proven experience in pre-opening, greenfield development, mobilization or building a large-scale operation from the ground up.Strong commercial and P&L capability, including leasing, tenant management, business planning, budgeting and revenue growth.Solid understanding of asset and facilities management, logistics, service-provider management and large-scale operational environments.GCC experience preferred.Note- Due to high application volumes, we can only respond to shortlisted profiles.
