Business Head – Logistics & Mobility

The organization offers a dynamic environment for professionals interested in shaping the future of mobility and contributing to sustainable growth.Role Description The Business Head – Logistics & Mobility is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Madhya Pradesh, India. This position is responsible for overseeing end-to-end logistics and mobility operations, including network planning, fleet management, route optimization, and service quality. The role involves defining business strategy, setting performance targets, managing budgets, and driving operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with local regulations and safety standards. The Business Head will lead cross-functional teams, establish partnerships with vendors and clients, and use data analytics to improve cost-effectiveness and service reliability. Day-to-day activities include monitoring key performance indicators, resolving escalations, guiding process improvements, and supporting the development of new mobility solutions and business models.We are looking for a senior leader who can take complete ownership of the business, including operations, P&L, customers, fleet, people, commercial performance and growth.This is not a functional role. The selected person will be expected to operate as the Business Head and second line of leadership, capable of running the day-to-day business independently and representing management with customers, partners and internal teams.Key Responsibilities

• Own the overall P&L, revenue, EBITDA, budgeting and profitability of the business.
• Take complete responsibility for day-to-day operations across multiple projects and locations.
• Drive daily and monthly operational targets, fleet productivity and customer SLAs.
• Review project-wise, customer-wise and vehicle-wise profitability.
• Identify loss-making projects and implement corrective actions.
• Lead operations across port logistics, container transportation, industrial logistics, bulk cargo, mining/coal transportation and EV logistics.
• Ensure maximum fleet utilisation, vehicle availability and asset productivity.
• Monitor fuel/energy efficiency, maintenance, tyres, manpower and operating costs.
• Own customer relationships and handle senior-level operational and commercial escalations.
• Lead contract negotiations, pricing reviews, scope changes and commercial discussions.
• Drive timely billing, collections, working capital and cash-flow discipline.
• Build and lead Project Managers, Fleet Managers, Operations Managers and site teams.
• Establish strong KPIs, accountability and performance-review systems across the organisation.
• Ensure high standards of safety, compliance and operational discipline.
• Evaluate new projects based on ROI, IRR, payback, risk and profitability.
• Support fleet expansion, EV deployment, financing, leasing and strategic partnerships.
• Work closely with the Founder/Director on business strategy, expansion and long-term growth.

• 10–15+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, mobility, infrastructure or industrial operations.
• MBA / PGDM from a reputed management institute preferred.
• Strong experience in P&L ownership and multi-location operations.
• Excellent commercial, financial and analytical understanding.
• Strong leadership and team-management capability.
• Experience in fleet management, transport operations and customer management.
• Ability to manage senior customer relationships and negotiations.
• Strong MIS, Excel and business-review skills.
• Experience in EV logistics, ports, containers, mining, coal or industrial transportation will be an advantage.
• High ownership, integrity and execution capability.
